RIT B.V. respects your privacy. This statement explains which personal data we process when you visit rit-bv.nl, request a quote or contact us, why we do so, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
Who is responsible
RIT B.V., Graham Bellstraat 12 B, 8013 PL Zwolle, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 97369276), is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this statement. For questions about privacy, email info@rit-bv.nl or call +31 6 8416 8411.
Visiting this website
This website has no user accounts for visitors and no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
When you visit the site, our web server automatically records technical data that every browser sends: your IP address, the date and time of the visit, the page requested and your browser type. We use this data only to show the website and to keep it secure, for example to detect and block abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a safe, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). These server logs are deleted automatically after two weeks.
Fonts and images are served from our own server, so your browser does not contact third parties while you browse the site.
Cookies
This website places one functional cookie, NEXT_LOCALE. It remembers the language you are viewing (Dutch or English), contains no personal data, is not shared with anyone and is deleted when you close your browser. Staff who sign in to our management system also receive the sign-in cookies needed for that; visitors never do.
We do not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies and we do not follow you across other websites. Functional cookies do not require consent, which is why this website shows no cookie banner. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; the website keeps working.
The quote form
When you request a quote through the form, we receive your name, company name, email address, phone number, the type of vehicle and the service you are interested in and your message, together with the language and page you used and the time you sent the form. We use these details only to prepare your quote, to contact you about it and, if you place an order, to carry it out. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without these details we cannot handle your request.
Your request is stored in our management system on our server in the Netherlands and is emailed to our company mailbox through our email provider Microsoft (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.). You receive an automatic confirmation at the email address you entered.
To keep the form free of spam and abuse, it has automatic bot protection and limits the number of requests per internet connection. For this we store your browser type and a one-way coded version (hash) of your IP address with the request; your IP address itself is not stored. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure form (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you contact us directly
If you call us, email us or send us a WhatsApp message, we use your name, contact details and the content of your message to reply and, if you place an order, to carry it out. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performing that contract.
WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd.; messages sent through WhatsApp are also subject to its own privacy policy.
Links to other websites
This website links to Google Maps (for our address) and to WhatsApp. These services only receive data from you once you click such a link; their own privacy and cookie policies then apply.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with parties that process it on our behalf under a data processing agreement: our hosting provider, which runs this website and our management system on servers in the Netherlands, and our email provider Microsoft, which delivers form requests to our mailbox and sends your confirmation. We also share data when the law requires us to.
Microsoft processes this data in data centres in the European Union. Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, Microsoft applies the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep your data
Server logs: two weeks. Requests sent with the quote form: deleted automatically from our management system two years after we received them. Emails and other correspondence: as long as needed to handle your request or order. Data we are required to keep by law, such as invoices and our accounts: seven years.
Security
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. This website is only available over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, our management system is only open to authorised staff, and the data is stored on servers in the Netherlands.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Send your request to info@rit-bv.nl; we respond within one month and may first ask you to confirm your identity.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, please let us know. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Changes to this statement
We may update this statement when our website or services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
